Reporting to Applications Manager

Duties will include:


Customer Training:

  • Ensure the training quality provided by Metris is deemed ‘Best in Class’
  • Training Customers to operate, program and maintain Metris products.
  • Training of Metris personnel when and where required.
  • Developing new training products to meet current and future business needs.
  • Obtaining and maintaining Metris training accreditations, e.g. NVQ’s, etc
  • Using own initiative to solve problems
  • Working knowledge of various hardware combinations, computer systems.
  • Must keep up-to-date with changes to operating systems as well as all software produced and installed by Metris.
  • Complete all reporting and appraisal documentation
  • Writing technical, reference and training manuals.

Customer Support:

  • Provide helpdesk technical support to customers
  • Log all support communications on customer database
  • Site visits when and where required

Sub Contract Inspection & Part Programming:

  • Ensuring the quality of Part Programming/Sub Contract Inspection is deemed ‘Best in Class’.
  • Ensure engineering drawings and specifications are accurately interpreted.
  • Liaising with customers to create part program specifications in line with the Metris quality procedures.
  • Managing and planning projects to ensure they are delivered on time and to budget.

Demonstrations:

  • Presenting demonstrations to all potential UK and ROW customers, both at Metris and on customers’ sites
  • Setting up machines at UK and ROW exhibitions and providing demonstrations of the machines during the exhibition
  • Supporting and training all ROW agents
  • Presenting product launches and providing training for distributors and sales staff

General:

  • Adhering to all in-house procedures and policies
  • Remain flexible to the current and future needs of the Metris business
  • There is a requirement for travel in the UK and ROW, which can be both planned and at short notice.
  • To complete ALL Metris required documentation
  • Meeting individual and team targets
  • Set a high standard of self presentation and delivery
  • Undertaking any reasonable request made by Management
