Reporting to:  Lead Draughtsman

Design/Detailing

  • Producing and maintaining 2d autocad drawings for all system wiring/ PCB schematic drawings
  • Integrate electrical systems into mechanical designs and installation drawings including standards book and RFQ
  • Assist with some mechanical drawings using 2D CAD System.
  • Implementing electrical/electronic design changes once changes has been approved by the Product Board
  • Finalising designs and design changes instigated by the Product Board to production level
  • Producing and maintaining 3D Solidworks drawings as required

Service

  • Maintaining company’s records of all archived machines, parts lists and drawings
  • Acting as an interface to UK and US Service Departments to assist in finding records of machines undergoing field repairs
  • Ensuring the above required records include scanning images of paper drawings, pdf, autocad, solidworks and foxpro database
  • Producing parts lists and drawings for machine upgrades

Machine Assembly

  • Assisting workshop as and when required

Planning

  • Producing and maintaining comprehensive set of machine parts lists for all machines deemed ‘standard’ by machine specification document
  • Producing parts lists for all non standard machines once WIQ 20 is produced

Quality Control

  • Assisting in production of electrical design manuals for all current designs to provide a framework for external auditors to be able to audit the company and achieve ISO9002, TE supplement and CE accreditation.

Suppliers

  • Liasing with suppliers as and when required

General

  • Adhering to all in-house procedures and policies
  • Remain flexible to the current and future needs of the Metris business
  • Undertaking any reasonable request made by Senior Management
